Right now, we are facing the biggest health and economic crisis we’ve had in the last 70 years of history, even bigger than the 2008 global economic crash. This is caused by the impact of the global spread of corona virus. Stock markets are crashing, oil prices are plummeting, and most importantly, more and more countries are shutting down entire economies. Experts say that this is just the beginning of a crisis that may take years to recover from.

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have been hailed as the ‘digital gold’ and ‘safe haven’ for future economic crises, but this turned out not to be the case as the global market refuses to accept these currencies as an alternative option. As of today, the leading cryptocurrencies are valued between 75%- 95% below their highest values, with a loss of more than 50% in the last 4 weeks alone.

Simultaneous to the downhill path of these digital currencies, the YEM continues to rise in its resilience as it increasingly becomes more accepted as an official form of payment. We still remain the only International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) representing a digital currency.

Behind the scenes, we are meeting with Governments and Central Banks to discuss how our YEM can be integrated into the established financial system to deliver the benefits of blockchain technology and digital currencies to millions of people across the world. This truly is the 4th industrial revolution.

Thanks to our policy of privacy instead of anonymity, and stability not volatility, combined with our state-of-the-art feature of all-necessary taxable information stored on our blockchain, YEM is simply in a league of its own when compared to other cryptocurrencies.

In addition to this, as a member of the Union of International Associations (UIA), we are accredited to apply for consultative status for the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
